Design for Assembly

WEEK 7 MEETING OVERALL

After finishing our DFM, we moved on to the Design for Assembly, where we explained each and every step to putting our lamp together. We spoke with the professor and our TAs, where we learned we had to reconsider how we would produce some of the pieces, such as the resin diffuser and aluminum panels. We had to reevaluate our lamp and modify it multiple times to make it mostly printable. The diffuser was originally resin but we reevaluated and decided to print it with semi-translucent PLA instead. It was also brought up that the aluminum panels might not be in our budget or our time frame. Regardless, we created our Design for Assembly while also updating our SharePoint as we met with the TAs.
